I wrote a profile of  a Chicagoland woman who needed a heart transplant, and found one, after a girl in North Carolina passed away.

Since the surgery, the Chicago woman has become friends with her donor’s family.

Writing this I learned it's not the snow that brings me down, it's the lack of sun

For Make It Better, a local magazine, I finally opened up about my battle with Seasonal Affective Disorder.

 

Kinda hope my mom never sees it…But it could be helpful to others living in the tundra as I do.

Make It Better published my article about how to improve your physical and mental health without a doctor’s prescription for Xanax.

This is not my house, although I like to pretend it is.

My back yard doesn’t get any sunlight, but that didn’t stop me from planting flowers this summer, or writing this article about how to start an organic garden.

It was hard to complain about my life after I interviewed five women who battled breast cancer. And won!

I had the chance to interview two amazing parents whose son, Danny, died in his sleep. Read their amazing story.
